She said she is aware that the Chapel Hill Town
Council would like to reenter those discussions in the fall, and it does not seem inconsistent to
her to take this move at this time.
Bonnie Hammersley said she met with the Chapel Hill Town Manager, and he saw this
as the County doing a reduction across library services, and it is part of a bigger picture. She
said they hope to reconvene in the future to talk about funding, but the Town understands this
reduction as being consistent with the library system at large.
Commissioner Fowler said it feels equitable, but does not speak to how she might
consider future negotiations.

Roll call ensued.

VOTE: Ayes, 5 (Commissioner Bedford, Commissioner Fowler, Commissioner Dorosin,
Commissioner Greene, and Chair Price); Nays, 2 (Commissioner Hamilton and
Commissioner McKee)

MOTION PASSES
