The County of Orange will select the color and style <br />logo from the successful contractor for the purpose of producing the <br />emblems. <br /> <br />General: <br />15 Uniforms unavailable from standard stock sizes shall be special <br />ordered and provided at no increase in cost to the County <br /> <br />16 At the beginning of the contract, all new uniforms shall be provided. <br />Each person shall be measured to assure proper fit. All preparation <br />charges shall be included in the bid price. The successful contractor <br />shall be prepared to provide complete service within thirty (30) days <br />of receipt of an order. <br /> <br />17 The successful contractor shall provide weekly service to one <br />location in Hillsborough and three locations at the Solid Waste <br />complex in Chapel hill <br /> Public Works Complex (Motor Pool and Custodial) at 600 <br />Highway 86 N, Hillsborough, N.C. <br /> Solid Waste Administration building -1207 Eubanks Rd, <br />Chapel Hill <br /> Solid Waste Maintenance & Sanitation/Recycling, 1514 <br />Eubanks Rd, Chapel Hill <br /> Solid Waste Landfill, 1514 Eubanks Rd, Chapel Hill <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />18 For subsequent addition of employees, the contractor will guarantee <br />the County a maximum two (2) week period of delivery for the <br />complete issue of all clothing articles to include shirts, pants, and <br />jackets and coveralls for the Motor Pool Division. <br /> <br />19 No extra charge will be levied during the contract period for <br />upgrading of garments that show excessive wear. <br /> <br />20 No charge will be levied for employees who gain or lose weight <br />requiring a size change. <br /> <br />21 Each uniform shall be cleaned and repaired as necessary on a <br />weekly basis. <br /> <br />22 Each uniform shall be maintained in serviceable condition with rips, <br />tears, loose or missing buttons, etc., repaired and/or replaced as <br />necessary to retain the original quality and appearance. <br /> <br />23 Each uniform shall be returned neatly processed; wrinkle free, <br />placed on hangers and delivered to a specified point of delivery for <br />employees. (Note: Each person’s uniforms of shirts and pants <br />(coveralls and jackets when applicable) shall be grouped together. <br /> <br />24 Uniforms that are damaged beyond repair shall be replaced with <br />new articles only. The County of Orange shall not assume liability <br />for items damaged due to nature of work performed. <br /> <br />25 Uniforms that are damaged beyond repair through normal wear and <br />tear shall be replaced at no cost to the County. <br /> <br />26 Executive oxford shirts shall be replaced with new stock that <br />become worn, damaged or heavily stained through normal use. The <br />county will be the judge of such worn, damaged or heavily stained <br />items. <br /> <br />27 Pants of supervisory personnel shall be replaced with new stock that <br />become worn, damaged or heavily stained through normal use.
