<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />May 11, 2020 <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Bruce Woody, Operations Director <br />Orange County Solid Waste Management <br />PO Box 17177 <br />Chapel Hill, NC 27516 <br /> <br />RE: Task Order Request for Professional Engineering Services <br />Wastewater Disposal System Design, Permit, Bid, and Construction Services <br />Walnut Grove Waste & Recycling Center <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina <br />DAA Project Number R00592-225N2 <br /> <br />Dear Bruce: <br />Draper Aden Associates (DAA) appreciates the opportunity to provide the following proposed <br />task order to Orange County Solid Waste Management (Client) for the design, permitting, bid <br />administration, and construction phase services for the proposed wastewater disposal system, <br />described within the Wastewater Disposal Evaluation Study dated May 8, 2020, at the existing <br />Walnut Grove Waste and Recycling Center in Hillsborough, NC. The project is necessary since <br />NCDEQ is unwilling to extend the temporary permit and haul permit that serves the facility <br />currently and wastewater shall be managed by a new system by February 2021. <br /> <br />PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br />DAA will provide professional services as outlined below. This proposed scope of work has <br />been prepared in general accordance with the engineering standard of practice and discussions <br />of the project with the Client and consists of the following services: <br />Task 1 – Design Phase Services <br /> Construction Documents <br />Based upon conceptual layout dimensions and alignments, DAA will complete the site <br />design and prepare construction documents. Construction Documents will be prepared <br />in accordance with the requirements of the local jurisdiction Planning and/or <br />Engineering Department(s).
