BMS contractor shall have an in-place support facility within 100 miles of the site with <br />technical staff, spare parts inventory and necessary test and diagnostic equipment. The BMS <br />contractor shall provide full time, on site, experienced project manager for this work, responsible <br />for direct supervision of the design, installation, start up and commissioning of the BMS. <br />B.The BMS contractor shall maintain a service organization consisting of factory trained service <br />personnel and provide a list of 10 projects, similar in size and scope to this project, completed <br />within the last five years. <br />C.Materials and equipment shall be the catalogued products of manufacturers regularly engaged in <br />production and installation of automatic temperature control systems and shall be manufacturer's <br />latest standard design that complies with the specification requirements. <br />D.All BAS peer-to-peer network controllers, central system controllers, and local user displays shall <br />be UL Listed under Standard UL 916, category PAZX; Standard ULC C100; and under Standard <br />UL 864 and be so listed at the time of bid. All floor level controllers shall comply, at a minimum, <br />with UL Standard UL 916; Standard UL 864 and be so listed at the time of Bid. <br />E.This system shall have a documented history of compatibility by design for a minimum of 15 years. <br />Future compatibility shall be supported for no less than 10 years. Compatibility shall be defined as <br />the ability to upgrade existing field panels to current level of technology, and extend new field <br />panels on a previously installed network. Compatibility shall be defined as the ability for any <br />existing field panel microprocessor to be connected and directly communicate with new field <br />panels without bridges, routers or protocol converters. <br />1.05 SUBMITTALS <br />A.Product Submittal Requirements. Meet requirements of Submittal Section on Shop Drawings, <br />Product Data, and Samples. Provide six copies of shop drawings and other submittals on <br />hardware, software, and equipment to be installed or furnished. Begin no work until submittals <br />have been approved for conformity with design intent. Provide drawings as AutoCAD 2004 (or <br />newer) compatible files on optical disk (file format: .dwg, .dxf, .vsd, or comparable) or hard copies <br />on 11´x 17´prints of each drawing. When manufacturer¶s cut sheets apply to a product series <br />rather than a specific product, clearly indicate applicable data by highlighting or by other means. <br /> Clearly reference covered specification and drawing on each submittal. General catalogs shall not <br />be accepted as cut sheets to fulfill submittal requirements. Select and show submittal quantities <br />appropriate to scope of work. Also include contractor Sequence of Operations as programmed. <br />1.06 WARRANTY <br />A.Warrant labor and materials for specified control system free from defects for a period of 12 <br />months after final acceptance. Failures on control systems that include all computer equipment, <br />transmission equipment and all sensors and control devices during warranty period shall be <br />adjusted, repaired, or replaced at no additional cost or reduction in service to Owner. <br />B.Work shall have a single warranty date, even if Owner receives beneficial use due to early system <br />start-up.
