Southern Human Services Center Smith Sinnett /2020072 <br />HVAC and Roof Renovations Orange County,North Carolina <br />Air Terminal Units 23 36 00 - 3 <br />c.Controller shall be furnished by the controls contractor.Controller shall be factory <br />mounted to terminal unit by VAV box manufacturer. <br />2.Airflow Sensor: Differential pressure airflow device measuring total,static,and wake <br />pressures. <br />a.Signal accuracy: Plus/minus five percent throughout terminal operating range. <br />b.Flow probe shall have an amplification factor >=2.0. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 EXAMINATION <br />A.Verify that conditions are suitable for installation. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />B.Install the inlets of air terminal units and air flow sensors a minimum of four duct diameters from <br />elbows,transitions,and duct takeoffs. <br />C.Provide ceiling access doors or locate units above easily removable ceiling components. <br />D.Support units individually from structure in accordance with SMACNA (SRM). <br />1.Do not support air terminal devices with strap hangers. All air terminals shall be supported by <br />trapeze hanger with threaded rod. <br />E.Do not support from ductwork. <br />F.Connect to ductwork in accordance with Section 23 31 00. <br />G.Install heating coils in accordance with Section 23 82 00. <br />H.Verify that electric power is available and of the correct characteristics. <br />3.03 ADJUSTING <br />A.Reset volume with damper operator attached to assembly allowing flow range modulation from <br />100 percent of design flow to zero percent full flow.Set units heating CFM equal to what is shown <br />in VAV box schedule.. <br />3.04 CLEANING <br />A.Install new filters. <br />END OF SECTION <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 94E7997D-4F29-42F6-A9B4-0A160438D2A6
