Southern Human Services Center Smith Sinnett /2020072 <br />HVAC and Roof Renovations Orange County,North Carolina <br />Air Duct Accessories 23 33 00 - 2 <br />1.Nailor Industries,Inc <br />2.Ruskin Company,a brand of Johnson Controls <br />3.United Enertech <br />4.Greenheck <br />5.Arrow <br />6.Or Approved Equal <br />B.Frames shall be flanged,a minimum of 3 inches wide,and a minimum of 20 gauge roll formed <br />galvanized steel or 0.125 inch extruded aluminum with pre-punched mounting holes and welded <br />corner clips for maximum rigidity. <br />C.Blades shall be single piece,with a maximum width of 6 inches,counter balanced,and shall be <br />constructed of minimum 26 gauge rool formed galvanized steel or 0.070 inch extruded aluminum. <br />Blade ends shall overlap for maximum weather protection. <br />D.Blade seals shall be extruded vinyl and mechanically attached to blade edge. <br />E.Bearings shall be corrosion resistant synthetic. <br />F.Linkages shall use a galvanized tie bar with stainless steel pivot pins. <br />G.Axles shall be stainless steel. <br />H.Mounting shall be suitable for the required orientation. <br />2.03 DUCT AIR TURNING VANES <br />A.Provide factory manufactured turning vanes in each elbow where inside radius is less than the <br />width of the duct,and in all square or rectangular elbows. <br />B.Turning vane assemblies shall be adequately supported and affixed to prevent rattling,breakaway, <br />and shall not deform.Assemblies longer than 12 inches shall be double wall. <br />C.Turning vanes in negative pressure ductwork with pressure rating above 2 inches shall be installed <br />in accordance with SMACNA Industrial Duct Construction Standard. <br />D.Turning vanes shall match the duct material construction. <br />E.Rectangular Throat Elbow Truning Vanes (Vane Runner Length up to 18"and Vane Length up to <br />36") <br />1.Provide single blade type vanes having 2"radius and 1-1/2"spacing,24 gauge minimum. <br /> Construct vanes in accordance with SMACNA HVAC Duct Construction Standards. <br />2.If duct size changes in mitered elbow,use single blade type vanes with trailing edge <br />extension. <br />F.Rectangular Throat Elbow Truning Vanes (Vane Runner Length up to 18"and Vane Length up to <br />36"): <br />1.Use double wall airfoil type with smoothly-rounded entry nose and extended trailing edge on <br />2.4"center spacing. <br />2.Vanes shall be equal to HEP (High Efficiency Profile)vanes as manufactured by Aero/Dyne <br />Co. <br />G.Radius Elbow Splitter Vanes: <br />1.Splitter vanes for radius elbows shall be extended entire length of fitting and constructed in <br />accordance with SMACNA HVAC Duct Construction Standards. <br />H.Manufacturers: <br />1.Aero Dyne <br />2.Ductmate,Inc. <br />3.Sheet Metal Connectors,Inc. <br />4.Duro-Dyne <br />5.DynAir Inc. <br />6.Or Approved Equal <br />2.04 WIRE MESH SCREENS <br />A.Screen assemblies shall be removable. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 94E7997D-4F29-42F6-A9B4-0A160438D2A6
