Remove burrs. Bevel plain end ferrous pipe. <br />B.Remove scale and dirt on inside and outside before assembly. <br />C.Prepare piping connections to equipment using jointing system specified. <br />D.Keep open ends of pipe free from scale and dirt. Protect open ends with temporary plugs or caps. <br />E.After completion,fill,clean,and treat systems. Refer to Section 23 25 00 for additional <br />requirements. <br />3.02 PRESSURE TESTS <br />A.Piping pressure tests shall be required on all new piping. <br />1.Where connecting to existing systems,segregate new piping from existing system and <br />provide isolation valves as required for testing. <br />B.Coordinate pressure tests with the Engineer and Owner at least 72 hours in advance.Engineer, <br />Owner,and CxA may choose to witness the pressure test.If Owner and Engineer decide not to <br />witness a specific test,the Construction Manager/General Contractor shall witness the test and <br />sign off. <br />C.Conduct pressure tests prior to flushing and cleaning of piping systems. <br />D.Pressure tests may be made of isolated portions of the piping systems to faciliate general progress <br />of the installation.Changes made in the piping system shall require retesting of the affected <br />portions. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 94E7997D-4F29-42F6-A9B4-0A160438D2A6
