Southern Human Services Center Smith Sinnett /2020072 <br />HVAC and Roof Renovations Orange County,North Carolina <br />BAS Sensors and Transmitters 23 09 13.23 - <br /> 2 <br />G.Temperature Sensor –Duct Mounted –Single Point <br />1.Provide duct mounted,single point,temperature sensor as indicated within the field <br />termination schedules and/or controls diagrams as follows: <br />a.In ducts less than 10 ft²in cross-sectional area. <br />b.In ducts greater than 10 ft²in cross-sectional area if there is no heating coil and no <br />cooling coil and no mixing of air flows of different temperature upstream. <br />2.Temperature sensors shall meet,at minimum,the following requirements: <br />a.0.25”stainless steel probe of length between one-third and two-thirds of the duct width. <br />b.Thermistor or RTD compatible with BMS,sealed in probe with 3 part moisture protection <br />system. <br />c.Duct mounted ABS plenum rated housing with conduit entrance.(Optional metal, <br />weather proof or no enclosure available) <br />H.Temperature Sensor-Wall Mounted <br />1.Provide wall mounted temperature sensors for non-public spaces as indicated within the field <br />termination schedules and/or controls diagrams as follows. <br />2.Temperature sensors shall meet,at minimum,the following requirements: <br />a.White protective enclosure. <br />b.The location to be selected by the Engineer/Architect or at a height of no higher than 48" <br />to the top of the device.No sensor shall be mounted until the Engineer/Architect gives <br />specific location instructions. <br />c.Thermistor or RTD compatible with BMS. <br />d.Optional set point adjustment,push button override switch,LED indication,bi-metal, <br />alcohol or LCD display depended on owner requirement. <br />I.Temperature Sensor –Wall Mounted –Lobby,Hallways Or Security Spaces <br />1.Provide wall mounted stainless plate temperature sensors for lobbies and lobby vestibule <br />spaces as indicated within the field termination schedules and/or control diagrams as follows. <br />2.Temperature sensors shall meet,at minimum,the following requirements: <br />a.Stainless plate sensors to fit 100 x 50mm (4”X2”)junction box,available with or without <br />tamperproof screws. <br />b.Thermistor or RTD compatible with BMS. <br />J.Temperature Sensor –Immersion -Thermo well Mounted <br />1.Provide thermo well mounted temperature sensors as indicated within the Field termination <br />schedules and/or control diagrams as follows. <br />2.Temperature sensors shall meet,at minimum,the following requirements: <br />a.Rigid 0.25”stainless steel probe of length,which is,at minimum,20%of the pipe width. <br />b.Thermistor or RTD Compatible with BMS sealed in probe with three-part moisture <br />protection system. <br />c.BMS shall report the monitored temperature with an accuracy of 0.5°C (1.0°F). <br />d.ABS housing with conduit entrance.(Optional metal or weather proof available) <br />e.Provide Brass or Stainless steel thermo well (316 or 304). <br />f.Provide with thermal grease to aid temperature sensing. <br />K.Relative Humidity Sensor –Wall Mounted <br />1.Provide wall mounted relative humidity sensors as indicated within the Field termination <br />schedules and/or control diagrams. Humidity sensors shall meet,at minimum,the following <br />requirements: <br />a.White protective enclosure <br />b.Sensor to be laser trimmed thermoset polymer based capacitive type. <br />c.24 Vac/dc power supply <br />d.4-20 mA two wire,0-10 Vdc and 0-5 Vdc output proportional to relative humidity range of <br />0%to 100%and compatible with BMS. <br />e.2%accurate (5-95%RH).(3 &5 %accurate units available) <br />f.Operating temperature range of 32°F to 158°F. <br />g.Reverse voltage protected and output limited. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 94E7997D-4F29-42F6-A9B4-0A160438D2A6
