Southern Human Services Center Smith Sinnett /2020072 <br />HVAC and Roof Renovations Orange County,North Carolina <br />Coil Hookups 23 05 31 - 1 <br />SECTION 23 05 31 <br />COIL HOOKUPS <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A.The Contractor shall have the option of using the coil hookups as specified and detailed in the <br />drawings. <br />1.02 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />A.ANSI/NSF-61 <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A.Product Data: Provide product description,thermal characteristics,list of materials and thickness <br />for each service,and locations. <br />B.Manufacturer's Instructions: Indicate installation procedures necessary to ensure acceptable <br />workmanship and that installation standards will be achieved. <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A.Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing products of the type specified <br />in this section with not less than three years of documented experience. <br />1.05 DELIVERY,STORAGE,AND HANDLING <br />A.Accept materials on site in original factory packaging,labelled with manufacturer's identification. <br />B.Protect from weather and construction traffic,dirt,water,chemical,and mechanical damage,by <br />storing in original packaging. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MANUFACTURERS <br />A.Flo-pac <br />B.IMI Flow Design,Inc. <br />C.Griswold Manufacturing <br />D.Pro Hydronic Specialties <br />E.Bell &Gossett <br />F.Kates Company <br />G.Nexus <br />H.Nibco <br />I.Victaulic <br />J.Or Approved Equal <br />2.02 AUTOMATIC FLOW CONTROL VALVE: <br />A.Design <br />1.IMI AC Series <br />2.The GPM for the automatic flow control valves shall be factory set and shall automatically <br />limit the rate of flow to within 5%of the specified amount. <br />3.For 3/4”–2”,the flow cartridge shall be removable from the Y-body housing without the use <br />of special tools to provide access for regulator change-out,inspection and cleaning without <br />breaking the main piping. (Access shall be similar to that provided for removal of a Y-strainer <br />screen). <br />4.True operating ranges of 2–32 psid or 5–60 psid are required. The design flow should be <br />achieved at the minimum psi differential.
