Structural Quality Aluminum-Zinc Alloy-Coated Steel Sheet: Hot-dip aluminum-zinc-coated steel <br />sheet complying with ASTM A 792 with class AZ-50 coating; Grade 40 or to suit manufacturer's <br />standards. <br />2.3 METAL FINISHES <br />A. Roof panels finish: Exposed Coil-Coated Finish: <br />1. 2-Coat Fluoropolymer: AAMA 621. Fluoropolymer finish containing not less than 70 percent <br />PVDF resin by weight in color coat. Prepare, pretreat, and apply coating to exposed metal <br />surfaces to comply with coating and resin manufacturers' written instructions. 2-Coat <br />Fluoropolymer: AAMA 620. Fluoropolymer finish containing not less than 70 percent PVDF <br />resin by weight in color coat. "Kynar 500" coating consisting of a primer and a minimum 0.75- <br />mil dry film thickness with a total minimum dry film thickness of 0.9 mil and 30 percent reflective <br />gloss when tested in accordance with ASTM D 523. Durability: Provide coating that has been <br />field tested under normal range of weathering conditions for minimum of 20 years without <br />significant peel, blister, flake, chip, crack, or check in finish; without chalking in excess of No. 8 <br />in accordance with ASTM D 659; and without fading in excess of 5 NBS units. Prepare, pretreat, <br />and apply coating to exposed metal surfaces to comply with coating and resin manufacturers' <br />written instructions. <br />2. Roof materials comply with an SRI Index of greater than 78. <br />3. Color: Tan / Beige basis of design or otherwise selected from manufacture's full range. <br />4. All metal roofing components, including roof panels, ridge caps, gutters, downspouts, fascias, <br />scuppers, gravel stop, flashings and parapet copings shall be able to be provided in the same color <br />at the Architects discretion. <br />2.4 MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS <br />A. Fasteners: Self-tapping screws, bolts, nuts, self-locking rivets, self-locking bolts, end-welded studs, and <br />other suitable fasteners designed to withstand design loads. <br />1. Use stainless steel fasteners. <br />B. “Adhesively backed membrane”: Install “Ice and Water Shield HT” by W.R. Grace. Smooth faced and <br />40 mil thickness. Install horizontally staring at leave with joints lapped 4’ min. Secure to insulation as <br />recommended by the manufacturer. Approved equal WinterGuard HT by CertainTeed Corporation, <br />Underroof HT Water and Ice shield by GAF Building Materials Corporation, Blueskin Roof High Temp <br />PE200HT by Henry Company. Install over the entire roof surface including all vertical surfaces and turn <br />down behind all gutters. <br />C. Substrate Board: Non-combustible Cover Board <br />1. Basis of Design: Glass mat Gypsum sheathing equal to 5/8" Densdeck prime by G-P. <br />2. Fiberglass Mat Faced Gypsum Roof Board: <br />a. Thickness: 5/8 inch. <br />b. Width: 4 feet. <br />c.
