SHSC HVAC and Roof Replacement Smith Sinnett / 2020072 <br />Orange County, North Carolina <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 00 01 00 - 1 <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 00 01 00 – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br /> <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br /> Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 P.M. on March 18, 2021 in the office of Orange <br />County Finance, 405 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278, Attn: Orange <br />County Purchasing for the construction/renovation of the following: Southern Human Services <br />Center: HVAC and Roof Replacement. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 405 Meadowlands <br />Drive, Hillsborough, NC 27278. <br /> <br />Scope of Work: <br />The project consists of replacement of mechanical systems and roof for a 27,000sf building constructed <br />in 1996. The building will remain partially occupied during construction, which will necessitate two <br />phases for the replacement of the building’s two main air handling units, among other items. The <br />existing ballasted low slope roof system and insulation, along with a small amount of metal roof, will be <br />fully replaced. <br /> <br />Masks are required while inside or outside all Orange County facilities. Social Distancing will be <br />enforced. All other State, Local, Federal & CDC recommendations/requirements must be followed at all <br />times. <br /> <br />Contractors shall RSVP to Smith Sinnett Architecture, Drew Wilgus (dwilgus@smithsinnett.com) with <br />the number of members that will be attending the PreBid meeting and provide point of contact <br />information. <br /> <br />Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. <br /> <br />A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held for bidders on Tuesday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at 2501 <br />Homestead Rd. Chapel Hill. Bidders may only visit the site following the meeting by appointment only. <br />Interested subcontractors and suppliers are strongly encouraged to attend. <br /> <br />Complete plans and specifications for this project can be obtained from Smith Sinnett Architecture, <br />4600 Lake Boone Trail, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601, (919) 791.8582 Attn: Drew Wilgus, <br />Architect (dwilgus@smithsinnett.com) during normal office hours after February 15th, 2021.
