PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS - 016000 <br />Orange County Waste and Recycling For Proposal – Not for Construction <br />Metals and White Goods Retaining Wall Repair 01 60 00 - 2 <br />DAA PN R00592-204ST2 November 2020 <br />C.For exterior storage of fabricated Products, place on sloped supports, <br />above ground. <br />D.Provide off site storage and protection when site does not permit on site <br />storage. <br />E.Cover Products subject to deterioration with impervious sheet covering. <br />Provide ventilation to avoid condensation. <br />F.Store loose granular Products on solid flat surfaces in a well-drained area. <br />Prevent mixing with foreign matter. <br />G.Arrange storage of Products to permit access for inspection. Periodically <br />inspect to assure Products are maintained under specified conditions. <br />1.5 DAMAGED PRODUCTS <br />A.Remove damaged Products from Project site. <br />1.6 PRODUCT OPTIONS <br />A.Products Specified by Reference Standards: Product meeting standard <br />and specific requirements of these specifications. <br />B.The Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis of materials and equipment <br />specified or described in the Bidding Documents, or or-equal materials <br />and equipment as defined in the General Conditions, or those substitute or <br />materials and equipment approved by the Engineer and identified by <br />Addendum. The materials and equipment described in the Bidding <br />Documents establish a standard of required type, function and quality to <br />be met by any proposed substitute or or-equal item. Request for <br />Engineer’s clarification of materials and equipment considered or-equal <br />prior to the Effective Date of the Agreement must be received by the <br />Engineer at least 15 days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. No item of <br />material or equipment will be considered by Engineer as a substitute <br />unless written request for approval has been submitted by Bidder and has <br />been received by Engineer at least 15 days prior to the date for receipt of <br />Bids. Each request shall conform to the requirements of the General <br />Conditions. The burden of proof of the merit of the proposed item is upon <br />the Bidder. Engineer’s decision of approval or disapproval of a proposed <br />item will be final. If Engineer approves any proposed substitute item, such <br />approval will be set forth in an Addendum issued to all prospective <br />Bidders.
