Orange County Eubanks Road C&D Landfill <br />Construction Quality Assurance Plan <br />Revised March 15, 2021 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />a. Scope <br /> <br />Owner shall provide certified record drawings of work completed for construction of <br />landfill base grades, landfill gas collection, landfill drainage features, and landfill cap <br />layers. The Contractor shall be responsible for construction stakeout. <br /> <br />b. Qualifications <br /> <br />A land surveyor currently licensed by the State of North Carolina shall prepare record <br />drawings. The land surveyor may be employed by the Quality Assurance firm. <br /> <br />c. Drawings <br /> <br />1) Provide record drawings as indicated in this section. Drawings shall be <br />submitted in latest AutoCAD Release format or as otherwise indicated by <br />the Engineer. Provide five (5) hard copies of each record drawing. Hard <br />copies of drawings shall be sealed and signed by the land surveyor. Submit <br />certification with each record drawing that the elevations and locations of <br />the new work are in conformance or non-conformance with the Contract <br />Documents. <br /> <br />2) Drawings shall be tied to and include the same horizontal and vertical grid <br />system indicated on the design plans of the permit documents. <br /> <br />3) Information in the AutoCAD files must be at appropriate three-dimensional <br />elevation and coordinate. Entities shall be placed on layer names that <br />describe the entity mapped. <br /> <br />d. Grades and Locations <br /> <br />Grades for each layer comprising the base and cap system shall be contoured on a scaled plan <br />and submitted to the QAO for review upon completion of that portion of the work. The record <br />drawings shall include the following. <br /> <br />1) Base Grades <br /> <br />Provide the elevations of the landfill base area to prior to placement or <br />excavation to the prepared subgrade layer. The record drawing shall indicate <br />the conditions of the site after vegetation has been stripped from the proposed <br />area and the surface prepared and ready for placement of fill materials. <br />Provide grid locations that indicate the elevations of the base grades on a <br />maximum 50-foot grid.
