Fiber mulch applied during hydroseeding <br />operations shall not be considered as part of the 2 tons per acre. <br /> <br />2.05. Fertilizer <br /> <br />A. Fertilizer shall be granular, commercial grade, dry, free flowing, uniform in <br />composition, non-burning product composed of not less than 50% organic slow <br />acting, guaranteed analysis professional fertilizer. <br /> <br />B. Fertilizer shall be delivered to the site in the original, unopened containers, each <br />bearing the manufacturer’s guaranteed analysis. Fertilizer which becomes caked <br />or otherwise damaged, making it unsuitable for use, will not be accepted. No <br />cyanamide or hydrated lime shall be permitted in mixed fertilizer. <br /> <br />C. The CONTRACTOR shall perform soil tests to determine the quantity and analysis <br />of fertilizer required. <br /> <br />2.06. Limestone <br />A. Ground limestone shall contain not less than 85% of total carbonates and shall be <br />pelletized agricultural grade. Calcareous limestone shall contain at least 50% <br />magnesium oxide and dolomitic limestone shall contain at least 40% magnesium <br />oxide. Burned or slaked limestone is not permitted. <br /> <br />B. The CONTRACTOR shall perform soil tests to determine the quantity of lime <br />required. <br /> <br />2.07. Water <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for furnishing potable water free from substances <br />harmful to seed growth.
