Orange County Eubanks Road C&D Landfill <br />Permit Technical Specifications <br />Revised March 15, 2021 <br />Section 13302 - 1 <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 02480 <br /> <br />LANDFILL SEEDING <br /> <br /> <br />Part 1 General <br /> <br />1.01. Requirements Included <br /> <br />Provide personnel, equipment, and materials to completely furnish, install, maintain and <br />guarantee seeding and seeding items shown on the drawings and specified in the <br />specifications. Place mulch as specified. Place fertilizer and lime as required by soil testing. <br /> <br />1.02. Related Requirements <br /> <br />Section 01560 Erosion and Sediment Control <br />North Carolina Erosion and Sediment Control Planning and Design Manual <br /> <br />1.03. Guarantee <br /> <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for all phases of seeding as specified up <br />to the final acceptance. Dependent upon the season, the CONTRACTOR may have <br />to provide a temporary winter or summer cover crop that will eventually be <br />incorporated into the soil prior to seeding in the appropriate spring and fall seasons. <br /> <br />B. Areas that fails to develop a successful stand following seeding will be reseeded at the <br />CONTRACTOR's expense. The CONTRACTOR shall establish a permanent <br />vegetative cover with a 90% uniform stand of specified grasses in all areas. Bare areas <br />shall be reseeded every 21 days. Eroded areas shall be repaired prior to reseeding. <br />Once grass has been successfully established, the CONTRACTOR shall maintain the <br />area for 60 days. <br /> <br />1.04. Submittals <br /> <br />A. Submit three (3) copies of the following manufacturer’s certificates of conformance <br />for review and approval approximately 1 month before placement. <br /> <br />1. Seed <br />2. Fertilizer <br /> <br />B. The CONTRACTOR shall test topsoil to be used on the project to determine the <br />proper application of lime and fertilizer.
