Site Inspection <br /> <br />Prior to work of this division, carefully inspect the entire site and objects designated to be <br />removed and to be preserved. <br /> <br />3.02. Clarification <br /> <br />The drawings do not propose to show all objects existing on the site. Before commencing <br />work in this Division, verify with the Engineer objects not clearly identified to be removed or <br />to be preserved and discrepancies not fully resolved. <br /> <br />3.03. Prior Conditions Inspections <br /> <br />Prior to work of this section, carefully inspect the existing conditions. In the event of <br />discrepancy, immediately notify the COUNTY and do not proceed with installation in non- <br />conforming areas until identified discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br /> <br />3.04. Protection and Safety <br /> <br />Verify required protection devices are in place and operational. <br /> <br />3.05. Preparation and Layout <br /> <br />A. Establish extent of sitework by area and elevations; designate and identify datum <br />elevation. <br /> <br />B. Set required lines and levels. <br /> <br />C. Maintain bench marks, monuments and other reference points. <br /> <br />3.06. Excess Water Control <br /> <br />A. Do not place, spread, or roll fill material during unfavorable weather conditions. Do <br />not resume operations until moisture content and fill density are satisfactory. <br /> <br />B. Provide berms or channels to run-off into subgrade; promptly remove water collecting <br />in depressions. <br /> <br />C. Provide and maintain at all times during construction, ample means and devises with <br />which to promptly remove and dispose of water from every source entering the <br />excavations.
