Orange County Eubanks Road C&D Landfill <br />Permit Technical Specifications <br />Revised March 15, 2021 <br />Section 01560 - 1 <br />SECTION 01560 <br />EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL <br />Part 1 General <br />1.01. Requirements Include <br />Provide personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies to prevent erosion and control <br />sediment during the construction period. Comply with local and state erosion control <br />regulations. Comply with erosion and sediment controls as set forth on the construction <br />drawings. CONTRACTOR is solely responsible for control of erosion on site and is <br />responsible for taking any and all measures to prevent and control erosion. Measures may <br />be necessary above and beyond those shown on the drawings and CONTRACTOR shall <br />implement those additional measures. The CONTRACTOR shall install additional <br />measures required by the COUNTY but not shown on the plans. The CONTRACTOR <br />shall be entitled to compensation for additional measures that must be installed in the area <br />of the work shown on the plans, unless they are required solely for the CONTRACTOR’s <br />convenience or because of improvements or activities by the CONTRACTOR not shown <br />on the plans. Measures installed in conjunction with the development and operations of <br />borrow and stockpile areas shall be considered incidental to construction and additional <br />compensation will not be paid. <br />1.02. Related Requirements <br />North Carolina Erosion and Sediment Control Planning and Design Manual. <br />Part 2 Products <br />2.01. Filter Fabric Siltation Control Fences <br />Filter fabric used in siltation control fences (silt fence) shall be woven or non-woven <br />geotextile fabric which is resistant to ultra-violet light and specifically manufactured to be <br />used for silt fences. Acceptable manufacturers include Mirafi, Inc., Amoco, or approved <br />equal. Fence height shall be 36 inches. <br />2.02.
