<br /> <br />EXHIBIT R <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />SINGLE STREAM RECYCLABLES SPECIFICATIONS <br />RECYCLABLES must be dry, loose (not bagged), unshredded, empty, and include ONLY the following: <br /> <br />NON-RECYCLABLES include, but are not limited to the following: <br />Plastic bags and bagged materials (even if containing <br />Recyclables) <br />Microwavable trays <br /> Porcelain and ceramics Mirrors, window or auto glass <br />Light bulbs Coated cardboard <br />Soiled paper, including paper plates, cups and pizza <br />boxes <br />Plastics not listed above including and unnumbered plastics, including <br />utensils <br />Expanded polystyrene Coat hangers <br />Glass and metal cookware/bakeware Household appliances and electronics <br />Hoses, cords, wires Yard waste, construction debris, and wood <br />Flexible plastic or film packaging and multi -laminated <br />materials <br />Needles, syringes, IV bags or other medical supplies <br />Food waste and liquids, containers containing such <br />items <br />Textiles, cloth, or any fabric (bedding, pillows, sheets, etc.) <br />Excluded Materials or containers which contained <br />Excluded Materials <br />Napkins, paper towels, tissue, paper plates, and paper cups <br />Any paper Recyclables or pieces of paper Recyclables <br />less than 4” in size in any dimension <br />Propane tanks, fuel cannisters <br />Batteries <br /> <br />DELIVERY SPECIFICATIONS: <br />Material delivered by or on behalf of County may contain no more than fifteen percent (15%) Non -Recyclables and may contain no <br />Excluded Materials. <br /> <br />LOOSE OLD CORRUGATED CONTAINERS SPECIFICATIONS <br />County represents and warrants that it shall provide old corrugated containers (“OCC”) in accordance with the most current ISRI Scrap <br />Specifications Circular: Guidelines for Nonferrous Scrap, Ferrous Scrap, Glass Cullet, Paper Stock, Plastic Scrap and any ame ndments <br />thereto or replacements thereof for OCC#11 (“Specifications”) . <br /> <br />ISRI Scrap Specification for OCC#11 <br />Consist of corrugated containers having liners of either test line, jute or kraft. <br />Prohibitive Materials may not exceed 1% <br />Total Outthrows may not exceed 5% <br /> <br />Outthrows is defined as: all papers that are so manufactured or treated or are in such a form as to be unsuitable for consum ptions as <br />the grade specified. <br />Prohibitive Materials is defined as: <br />(a) any material which by their presence in a packaging of paper stock, in excess of the amount allowed, will make the packaging <br />useable as the grade specified. <br />(b) any materials that may be damaging to equipment. <br />(c) all sorted recovered paper stock must be free of food debris, medical or hazardous wastes and poisonous or other harmful <br />substances or liquids. <br />(d) wax is a prohibitive unless accepted and pre-approved by the Buyer. <br />Note: The maximum quantity of outthrows indicated in connection with the grade definitions is understood to be the TOTAL of <br />Outthrows and Prohibitive Materials. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Aluminum cans Newspaper <br />PET bottles with the symbol #1 – with screw tops only Mail <br />HDPE plastic bottles with the symbol #2 (milk, water <br />bottles detergent, and shampoo bottles, etc.) <br />Uncoated paperboard (ex. cereal boxes; food and snack boxes) <br />Plastic containers with the symbol #3-7, excluding <br />expanded polystyrene, empty <br />Uncoated printing, writing and office paper <br />Steel and tin cans Old corrugated containers/cardboard (uncoated) <br />Glass food and beverage containers – brown, clear, or <br />green <br />Magazines, glossy inserts and pamphlets <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: B04ECF89-C776-496E-B171-26200EC380B9
