Construction Documents <br />20052.01 / Orange County - Criminal <br />Justice Resources <br />23 3423 - 1 HVAC POWER VENTILATORS <br />SECTION 23 3423 <br />HVAC POWER VENTILATORS <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A.Cabinet exhaust fans. <br />1.02 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br />A.Section 22 0548 - Vibration and Seismic Controls for Plumbing Piping and Equipment. <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A.See Section 01 3000 - Administrative Requirements, for submittal procedures. <br />B.Product Data: Provide data on fans and accessories including fan curves with specified <br />operating point clearly plotted, power, RPM, sound power levels at rated capacity, and electrical <br />characteristics and connection requirements. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 POWER VENTILATORS - GENERAL <br />A.Static and Dynamically Balanced: AMCA 204 - Balance Quality and Vibration Levels for Fans. <br />B.Performance Ratings: Determined in accordance with AMCA 210 and bearing the AMCA <br />Certified Rating Seal. <br />C.Sound Ratings: AMCA 301, tested to AMCA 300 and bearing AMCA Certified Sound Rating <br />Seal. <br />D.Fabrication: Comply with AMCA 99. <br />E.Electrical Components: Listed and classified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. as suitable for <br />the purpose specified and indicated. <br />2.02 CABINET EXHAUST FANS <br />A.Manufacturers: <br />1.Broan-NuTone, LLC; 744 Recessed Ventilation Fan with Light: <br />www.broan-nutone.com/#sle. <br />2.Carnes, a division of Carnes Company Inc; ______: www.carnes.com/#sle. <br />3.Greenheck Fan Corporation; ______: www.greenheck.com/#sle. <br />B.Centrifugal Fan Unit: V-belt or direct driven with galvanized steel housing lined with acoustic <br />insulation, resilient mounted motor, gravity backdraft damper in discharge. <br />C.Grille: Molded white plastic. <br />D.Sheaves: Cast iron or steel, dynamically balanced, bored to fit shafts and keyed; variable and <br />adjustable pitch motor sheaves selected so required rpm is obtained with sheaves set at <br />mid-position; fan shaft with self-aligning pre-lubricated ball bearings. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />B.Hung Cabinet Fans: <br />1.Install fans with resilient mountings and flexible electrical leads.
