Construction Documents <br />20052.02 / Orange County - Justice <br />Facility <br />26 5100 - 3 INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR <br />LIGHTING <br />F.Provide products suitable to withstand normal handling, installation, and service without any <br />damage, distortion, corrosion, fading, discoloring, etc. <br />G.Recessed Luminaires: <br />1.Ceiling Compatibility: Comply with NEMA LE 4. <br />2.Luminaires Recessed in Insulated Ceilings: Listed and labeled as IC-rated, suitable for <br />direct contact with insulation and combustible materials. <br />3.Luminaires Recessed in Sloped Ceilings: Provide suitable sloped ceiling adapters. <br />4.Luminaires Recessed in Fire Rated Ceiling: Provide fire rated tenting to match the fire <br />resistant rating of the surrounding ceiling. <br />H.Fluorescent Luminaires: <br />1.Provide ballast disconnecting means complying with NFPA 70 where required. <br />2.Fluorescent Luminaires Controlled by Occupancy Sensors: Provide programmed start <br />ballasts. <br />3.Fluorescent Luminaires Controlled by Dual-Level Switching: Provide with at least two <br />ballasts refer to the fixture schedule. <br />I.LED Luminaires: <br />1.Components: UL 8750 recognized or listed as applicable. <br />2.Tested in accordance with IES LM-79 and IES LM-80. <br />3.Outdoor: Provide a minimum of 10 kV integral surge suppression. <br />4.Indoor: Provide a minimum of 2.5 kV integral surge suppression. <br />J.Track Lighting Systems: Provide track compatible with specified track heads, with all <br />connectors, power feed fittings, dead ends, hangers and canopies as necessary to complete <br />installation. <br />K.Luminaires Mounted in Continuous Rows: Provide quantity of units required for length <br />indicated, with all accessories required for joining and aligning. <br />2.03 EMERGENCY LIGHTING UNITS <br />A.Description: Emergency lighting units complying with NFPA 101 and all applicable state and <br />local codes, and listed and labeled as complying with UL 924. <br />B.Operation: Upon interruption of normal power source or brownout condition exceeding 20 <br />percent voltage drop from nominal, solid-state control automatically switches connected lamps <br />to integral battery power for minimum of 90 minutes of rated emergency illumination, and <br />automatically recharges battery upon restoration of normal power source. <br />C.Battery: <br />1.Sealed maintenance-free nickel cadmium unless otherwise indicated on the lighting fixture <br />schedule. <br />2.Size battery to supply all connected lamps, including emergency remote heads where <br />indicated. <br />D.Diagnostics: Provide power status indicator light and accessible integral test switch to manually <br />activate emergency operation. All fixtures shall be equipped with self diagnostics in addition to <br />the manual operation. <br />E.Provide low-voltage disconnect to prevent battery damage from deep discharge. <br />F.Accessories: <br />1.Provide compatible accessory mounting brackets where indicated or required to complete <br />installation. <br />2.Provide compatible accessory wire guards where indicated. <br />2.04 EXIT SIGNS <br />A.Description: Internally illuminated exit signs with LEDs unless otherwise indicated; complying <br />with NFPA 101 and all applicable state and local codes, and listed and labeled as complying <br />with UL 924. <br />1.Number of Faces: Single or double as indicated or as required for the installed location. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 09980A3B-0691-41B4-854D-3865F2287392
