Construction Documents <br />20052.02 / Orange County - Justice <br />Facility <br />26 2726 - 1 WIRING DEVICES <br />SECTION 26 2726 <br />WIRING DEVICES <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A.Wall switches. <br />B.Wall dimmers. <br />C.Receptacles. <br />D.Wall plates. <br />E.Floor box service fittings. <br />F.Poke-through assemblies. <br />1.02 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br />A.Section 26 0533.16 - Boxes and Cabinets. <br />B.Section 26 0553 - Identification for Electrical Systems: Identification products and <br />requirements. <br />C.Section 26 0923 - Lighting Control Devices: Devices for automatic control of lighting, including <br />occupancy sensors. <br />1.03 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />A.UL 20 - General-Use Snap Switches; Current Edition, Including All Revisions. <br />B.UL 498 - Attachment Plugs and Receptacles; Current Edition, Including All Revisions. <br />C.UL 514D - Cover Plates for Flush-Mounted Wiring Devices; Current Edition, Including All <br />Revisions. <br />D.UL 1472 - Solid-State Dimming Controls; Current Edition, Including All Revisions. <br />E.NFPA 70 - National Electrical Code; National Fire Protection Association, Including All <br />Applicable Amendments and Supplements; 2017. <br />1.04 ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS <br />A.Coordination: <br />1.Coordinate the placement of outlet boxes with millwork, furniture, equipment, etc. installed <br />under other sections or by others. <br />2.Coordinate wiring device ratings and configurations with the electrical requirements of <br />actual equipment to be installed. <br />3.Coordinate the placement of outlet boxes for wall switches with actual installed door <br />swings. <br />4.Coordinate the installation and preparation of uneven surfaces, such as split face block, to <br />provide suitable surface for installation of wiring devices. <br />5.Coordinate the core drilling of holes for poke-through assemblies with the work covered <br />under other sections. <br />6.Notify Architect of any conflicts or deviations from the contract documents to obtain <br />direction prior to proceeding with work. <br />B.Sequencing: <br />1.Do not install wiring devices until final surface finishes and painting are complete. <br />1.05 SUBMITTALS <br />A.Product Data: Provide manufacturer's catalog information showing dimensions, colors, and <br />configurations. <br />1.Wall Dimmers: Include derating information for ganged multiple devices. <br />B.Certificates for Surge Protection Receptacles: Manufacturer's documentation of listing for <br />compliance with UL 1449. <br />C.Field Quality Control Test Reports. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 09980A3B-0691-41B4-854D-3865F2287392
