Provide heavy duty surface mounted overhead stop or holder for interior doors as <br />specified. Provide overhead stops for interior doors and at any door that swings more <br />than 140 degrees before striking wall, open against equipment, casework, sidelights, and <br />where conditions do not allow wall stop, or floor stop presents tripping hazard. <br />2. Where overhead holders are specified provide friction type at doors without closer and <br />positive type at doors with closer. <br />2.15 DOOR STOPS AND HOLDERS <br />A. Manufacturers: <br />1. Scheduled Manufacturer: Ives. <br />2. Acceptable Manufacturers: Burns, ABH. <br />B. Provide door stops at each door leaf: <br />1. Provide wall stops wherever possible. Provide convex type where mortise type locks are <br />used and concave type where cylindrical type locks are used. <br />2. Where a wall stop cannot be used, provide universal floor stops for low or high rise <br />options. <br />3. Where wall or floor stop cannot be used, provide heavy duty surface mounted overhead <br />stop. <br />2.16 SILENCERS <br />A. Manufacturers: <br />1. Scheduled Manufacturer: Ives. <br />2. Acceptable Manufacturers: Steelcraft, Republic. <br />B. Requirements: <br />1. Provide "push-in" type silencers for hollow metal or wood frames. <br />2. Provide one silencer per 30 inches (762 mm) of height on each single frame, and two for <br />each pair frame. <br />3. Omit where gasketing is specified. <br />2.17 DOOR POSITION SWITCHES <br />A. Manufacturers: <br />1. Scheduled Manufacturer: Schlage. <br />2. Acceptable Manufacturers: GE-Interlogix, Sentrol. <br />B. Requirements: <br />1. Provide recessed or surface mounted type door position switches as specified. <br />2. Coordinate door and frame preparations with door and frame suppliers.
