ORANGE COUNTY FACILITY RENOVATIONS <br /> <br /> <br />DOOR HARDWARE 087100-1 <br /> 12/21/2020 <br /> <br />SECTION 08 71 00 – DOOR HARDWARE <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. <br />1.02 SUMMARY <br />A. Section includes: <br />1. Mechanical and electrified door hardware for: <br />a. Swinging doors. <br />2. Electronic access control system components, including: <br />a. Electronic access control devices. <br />3. Field verification, preparation and modification of existing doors and frames to receive <br />new door hardware. <br />4. The intent of the hardware specification is to specify the hardware for interior and exterior <br />doors, and to establish a type, continuity, and standard of quality. However, it is the door <br />hardware supplier’s responsibility to thoroughly review existing conditions, schedules, <br />specifications, drawings, and other Contract Documents to verify the suitability of the <br />hardware specified. <br />B. Exclusions: Unless specifically listed in hardware sets, hardware is not specified in this <br />section for: <br /> <br />1. Windows <br />2. Cabinets (casework), including locks in cabinets <br />3. Signage <br />4. Toilet accessories <br />5. Overhead doors <br />C. Related Sections: <br />1. Division 01 Section “Alternates” for alternates affecting this section. <br />2. Division 07 Section “Joint Sealants” for sealant requirements applicable to threshold <br />installation specified in this section. <br />3. Division 09 sections for touchup, finishing or refinishing of existing openings modified by <br />this section. <br />4. Division 26 sections for connections to electrical power system and for low-voltage wiring. <br />5.
