This Section includes joint sealants for the following locations: <br />B. Exterior joints in vertical surfaces and non-traffic horizontal surfaces as indicated below. <br />1. Control and expansion joints in unit masonry. <br />2. Perimeter of all doors and windows including aluminum window and doors frames. <br />3. Existing perimeter of all doors and windows including aluminum window and doors frames. <br />4. Perimeter of all aluminum storefront and curtain wall units. <br />5. Existing perimeter of all aluminum storefront and curtain wall units. <br />6. Between all dissimilar materials unless otherwise shown. <br />7. Control joints and expansion joints in gypsum board ceilings. <br />8. Other locations as required to keep the building watertight. <br />9. Other joints as indicated. <br />C. Exterior joints in horizontal traffic surfaces as indicated below: <br />1. Control, expansion, and isolation joints in cast-in-place concrete slabs for walks and paving. <br />2. At all locations where, concrete walks abut vertical surfaces including building surfaces and <br />back of curb. <br />3. Between all dissimilar materials unless otherwise shown. <br />D. Interior joints in vertical surfaces and horizontal nontraffic surfaces as indicated below: <br />1. Control and expansion joints on exposed interior surfaces of exterior walls. <br />2. Perimeter joints of exterior openings. <br />3. Vertical control joints on exposed surfaces of interior unit masonry walls and partitions. <br />4. Perimeter joints between interior wall surfaces and frames of interior doors and windows. <br />5. Tile control and expansion joints. <br />6. Perimeter joints of toilet fixtures. <br />7. Joints between dissimilar materials. <br />8. Other joints as indicated. <br />E. Interior joints in horizontal traffic surfaces as indicated below: <br />1. Control and expansion joints in cast-in-place concrete slabs. <br />2. Control and expansion joints in stone flooring <br />3. Other joints as indicated. <br />4. Between all dissimilar materials unless otherwise shown. <br />F. Fire-rated joints in vertical and horizontal non-traffic surfaces. <br />G. Sealants for glazing purposes are specified in Division 08 Section "Framed Entrances and Storefront." <br /> <br />1.2 SYSTEM PERFORMANCES <br /> <br />A. Provide joint sealants that have been produced and installed to establish and maintain watertight and <br />airtight continuous seals. <br /> <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Product Data: From manufacturers for each joint sealer product required, including instructions for <br />joint preparation and joint sealer application. <br />B. Samples: For verification purposes of each type and color of joint sealer required. Install joint sealer <br />samples in ½ inch wide joints formed between two 6-inch-long strips of material matching the <br />appearance of exposed surfaces adjacent to joint sealants. <br />C.
