ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br /> Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 P.M. on January 28, 2021 in the office of <br />Orange County Finance, 405 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278, <br />Attn: Orange County Purchasing for the construction/renovation of the following: Orange <br />County Justice Facility First Floor Alterations, Criminal Justice Resource Department <br />Renovation, Court Street Annex Renovation, Health Department Waiting Room and Office <br />Renovation, and Whitted Building Window Replacement. Bids will be publicly opened and <br />read at 405 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough, NC 27278. <br /> <br />Scope of Work: <br />The project consists of five renovation sites within three county facilities in downtown <br />Hillsborough. All sites will remain operational during construction with accommodations made for <br />construction activity. <br /> <br />Orange County Justice Facility First Floor Alterations – total of 4,000sf affected area including <br />courtroom lighting improvements, office area systems furniture, architectural and PME <br />improvements. <br />Criminal Justice Resource Department Renovation - total of 2,280sf affected area including <br />architectural and PME improvements, reconfiguration, replacement of interior finishes. <br />Court Street Annex Renovation - total of 3,846sf affected area including architectural and PME <br />improvements, minor reconfiguration, replacement of interior finishes. <br />Health Department Waiting Room and Office Renovation - total of 1,140sf affected area <br />including architectural and PME improvements, reconfiguration, replacement of interior finishes. <br />Whitted Building Window Replacement – total of 1,300sf affected area including window <br />replacement on two floors of elevator lobby tower, replacement of shades, architectural repair. <br /> <br />Masks are required while inside or outside all Orange County facilities. Social Distancing <br />will be enforced. All other State, Local, Federal & CDC recommendations/requirements must be <br />followed at all times. <br /> <br />Contractors shall RSVP to Smith Sinnett Architecture, Drew Wilgus (dwilgus@smithsinnett.com) <br />with the number of members that will be attending the PreBid meeting and provide point of contact <br />information. <br /> <br />Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. <br /> <br />A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held for bidders on Thursday, January 12, 2021 at 10:00 <br />a.m. starting at the Orange County Whitted Complex located at 300 West Tryon Street, <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278. Bidders may only visit the site following the meeting by appointment <br />only.
