Attachment 2 <br />Meeting with Cnrboro Board of Aldermen Representatives <br />August 16, 2001 <br />• ERC Director David Stannil provided n statue report on activity, including <br />vcquiaitwn, posting of tfie propmty and an existing mural £evtures map. <br />An offer to tour the property was extended. <br />General concepts for tho site design were presented (general loretiens for <br />school [acilitiea, general ICCation6 for park facilities, entrance roads), and <br />ideas on the Suture process far site design were briefly outlined. <br />• The potential foz codocatiop of other Facilities was mentioned by Carrboro. <br />Town xepresentativee eaprsased interest in a pvb4c works facility at the <br />site. County officials suggested the Town provide additioml details <br />regarding this request. <br />The potential conwtor road was briefly discussed, as was a potential for <br />a community gym at the site. <br />The Town representatives expressed general interest in mainteiving antl <br />programming the p¢rk facility, once it was developed. <br />Carrboro repro entativea noted other issues related W Joint Planing that <br />• khey had concerns ¢bout, including the poaeibility of removing nr altering <br />the commercial development cap in the TxnsiHon Aree, and the potent¢1 <br />&n innreaein6 density in other por[isue of the Transition Area.
