Grant Amount
Requested
$2000.
Project Start Date
(no earlier than July
1, 2020)
May 1 2021
Project End Date (no
later than June 30,
2021)
May 8, 2021
Project/Program
Summary
I am requesting marketing funding support for the Twenty Sixth
Annual Art in the Garden Sculpture Inv itational Exhibition that takes
place in my gardens in Orange County the first and second weekend
in May each year. The exhibition was dev eloped by me in 1994.
Exhibiting artists share the expense of inv itations and expenses.
100% of the sales go directly to the artists without commissions
taken.
This exhibition has been taking place for the past 25 years. This year,
2020 it was cancelled due to Cov id. Due to the cancellation, we lost
the expense of already printed inv itations before cancellation, and a
substantial portion of each of our 2020 sales income
The exhibition is a collaborativ e initiativ e in which professional artists
expose audiences to a unique arts experience. All of the sculptures
in this exhibition are created for the outdoors. Viewing outdoor
sculpture in a natural and domestic garden setting is an excellent
way to enhance the interpretation of sculptural art. The v enue allows
for the exhibition of sculptural pieces placed in a natural outdoor
setting. The public is educated in the realization that art is not only
for public spaces and museums but to be enjoyed in ev eryday life in
our homes and gardens. It is also an educational experience for
children who interact with many of the pieces and hav e an
opportunity to meet the sculptors who are present throughout the
ev ent.
DocuSign Envelope ID: 35269C76-76A0-4ED6-B36C-6AAA528A5760
