Because this particular potter--who attended Jordan <br />High School in Durham and is a graduate of NC Central Univ ersity-- <br />has made a successful career following her passion, students will <br />relate to her, making her time with the classes notably impactful. <br />Students would gain knowledge of long standing potting tradition, <br />history and culture of our state. Additionally, the expertise and <br />finesse of the craft will be communicated by one who throws for <br />hours on end. As professional potter, Delores can also speak to the <br />practical and business side of life as an artist in our community. <br />Activ ities with Delores Hayes are planned for the second semester of <br />the 2020-21 school year.
