Artist Experience Founded in 2016, the Curious Theatre Collectiv e has grown to <br />include eight women who together hav e decades of experience <br />writing, acting, composing, and directing. CTC’s plays hav e been <br />performed ov er 30 times for almost 9,000 students in the Triangle <br />since 2018. This project will be led by Chapel Hill artists Emma <br />Nadeau and Juliet Kaplan. <br />Emma Nadeau is an actor, musician, and dancer. She has performed <br />plays with The ArtsCenter, PlayMakers Repertory Company, <br />Paperhand Puppet, and Little Green Pig. She has also performed in a <br />number of Triangle-based bands, including Lost in the Trees and <br />Dante High, and scored sev eral short films. <br />Juliet Kaplan is an award-winning composer, and has created work <br />with choreographers, playwrights and multimedia artists. Her music <br />has been performed throughout the U.S., in the Czech Republic, <br />Nepal, and on Kansas Public Radio. Juliet is also an actor with the <br />Transactors Improv Company, the longest running improv company <br />in the South. She has taught improv to children at Rashkis <br />Elementary school, and to adults at the People’s Improv Theater in <br />Chapel Hill. <br />W e will also be working closely with Durham artist and 2020 Piedmont <br />Laureate Tamara Kissane, who is a founding member of CTC, a <br />podcaster for the local podcast Artist Soapbox, and creator of 2 full- <br />length audio plays adapted from her theatre scripts. <br />PROJECT/PROGRAM <br />BUDGET <br />Please fill out the charts below with your project's expenses and <br />income.
