Prov ide quarterly social-emotional, literacy-based puppetry arts <br />programs with puppet making activ ities to enhance the life of the <br />community. <br />2. Attain an attendance goal of 5% of ages 0-10 in Orange County or <br />a minimum of 435 children. ( social distancing requirements may <br />impact attendance so the number of online v iews of the v irtual <br />puppet project will be included in attendance counts) <br />3. Establish partnership with Orange County Public Libraries to serv e <br />as host/site location and adv ertise puppetry arts programs. <br />4. Achiev e positiv e parent feedback at 85 % ( programs beneficial, <br />child enjoyed program, learning themes apparent ) <br />5. Achiev e positiv e Library staff feedback at 85% (( programs <br />beneficial, child enjoyed program, learning themes apparent ) <br />Audience Description The intended audience is children in Orange County between the <br />ages of 3-10 years. The estimated attendance goal of 5% of ages 3-10 <br />in Orange County or 435 children. The Orange County Public Library <br />building capacity and space limits associated with social distancing <br />requirements may impact in person attendance. Therefore, online <br />v iews of the Folk Tales Around the W orld Puppet Project offered <br />v irtually are included in the estimated attendance. The estimated <br />racial and cultural composition goal of the audience is reflectiv e of <br />Orange County (Data US Stats): white 70%, Black 11 % Hispanic 8 % ; <br />Asian 7%.. The attendance and racial composition data is in keeping <br />with prior attendance patterns of the puppetry programs from <br />prev ious years. Although Orange County residents are the intended <br />audience, prev ious attendance patterns rev ealed participants from <br />Durham, Alamance, Cumberland, Forsyth , Guilford and Chatham <br />Counties.
