Store liquid materials in their original undamaged packages in a clean, dry, protected location and within <br />temperature range required by air barrier manufacturer. <br />B. Remove and replace liquid materials that cannot be applied within their stated shelf life. <br />C. Protect stored materials from direct sunlight. <br />D. Store role materials on end in original packaging. Protect rolls from direct sunlight until ready for use. <br />E. Store air barrier membranes, adhesives and primers at temperatures of 40 degrees F and rising. <br />F. Keep solvent away from open flame or excessive heat. <br />1.9 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. Environmental Limitations: Apply air barrier within the range of ambient and substrate temperatures <br />recommended by air barrier manufacturer. Protect substrates from environmental conditions that affect <br />performance of air barrier. Do not apply air barrier to a damp or wet substrate or during snow, rain, fog, <br />or mist. <br />1.10 WARRANTY <br />A. Provide manufacturer’s standard 10-year material warranty. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 FLUID-APPLIED MEMBRANE AIR AND VAPOR BARRIER <br />A. Fluid-Applied, Vapor Non Permeable Membrane Air Barrier: Basis of Design shall be Air-Bloc 06WB <br />by Henry; a one component elastomeric asphalt emulsion, trowel or spray applied, compatibility with <br />substrates and transition membranes. <br />1. Available Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, products that may be incorporated <br />into the Work include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />a. Elastomeric Modified Bituminous Membrane: <br />1) Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing; Barriseal. <br />2) Henry Company; Air-Bloc 06wb. <br />3) Meadows, W. Air permeability: 0.001 CFM/ft2 @ 1.6 lbs/ft2. to ASTM E2178 and ASTM E283 and <br />have no increased air leakage when subjected to a sustained wind load of 10.5 lbs/ft2 for 1 <br />hour and gust wind load pressure of 62.8 lbs/ft2 for 10 seconds when tested at 1.6 lbs/ft2 <br />to ASTM E331 <br />b. Water vapor permeance: 0.02 perms to ASTM E96 <br />c. Wet Film Thickness: 90 mils <br />d. Elongation: 2000% to ASTM D 412 <br />2.2 SELF-ADHERING SHEET AIR AND VAPOR BARRIER <br />A.
