Artist Experience This is the 5th rendition of this mov ement. This is the first one as you <br />can imagine that is being done in the pandemic. The other ev ents <br />were in the form of a concert. Howev er I was inspired by North Star's <br />post about the art in Durham,NC with the nudge of my therapist who <br />encouraged me to check out the work. Then it came to me! Use the <br />picnic tables at a local coffee shop I run to Turn The Tables. Artists <br />were giv en a blank canv as (a picnic table, shed doors and an inside <br />wall) to turn. This project is still going on as I write. The art here is <br />intentional, to say ALL are welcome and we want you to make this <br />place home. <br />I hav e been able to trav el globally because of poetry and music. I <br />realize often times I was the only person of color fortunate enough to <br />hav e these experiences. It has been my goal to use my platform to <br />uplift the v oices of others. My personal journey has inspired me to <br />seek funding and opportunities for other artists. I hav e fully been <br />able to understand the v alue of building relationships and finding <br />ways to hav e black people represented. Past experiences with I AM <br />SOTERIA and Friends include Black Friday at The Haw Riv er <br />Ballroom, performing at The W omen's March in Raleigh in 2019 and <br />2020, and performing at Red Hat and The Carolina Theatre in the <br />past. <br />PROJECT/PROGRAM <br />BUDGET <br />Please fill out the charts below with your project's expenses and <br />income.
