Several soft areas were identified in this area due to runoff collecting in low
spots and a thick cover of leaves and sticks matted against the fence and within the low areas.
The western side of the gravel lot was blocked by parked vehicles and could not be proofrolled. A
visual examination found this area heavily vegetated with undergrowth and small clusters of small
to medium trees less than 8-inches in diameter. Digging into the subgrade revealed a bed of gravel
covering most of the area.
The ditch on the eastern side of the gravel lot was inspected. Overall, there was a steady fall from
driveway on south end of the site to the fence on the northern side of the site. The fall was
interrupted by an area backfilled to serve as a walkway and backed up dead vegetation.
Unfit Recommendations
The area to be upfit is bounded to the south by the north side of the metal storage canopy, to the
west and north by the chain link fence and to the east by the drainage ditch.
The following recommendations for upfit of the gravel parking lot are as follows:
• Clearing and Grubbing
o Spray to kill all weeds and grasses
o Clear and grub trees and shrubs leaving the two largest oaks on west side of the site
