The Department will also set guidelines for out-of-network provider <br /> payments. PHP will be required to cover the same services as Medicaid fee-for-service and may agree to <br /> pay for additional services if proven to be beneficial to the recipient's care plan. <br /> Challenges & Risks <br /> COVID-19 pandemic introduces complexity and uncertainty in project planning <br /> Tailored Plan Request for Application (RFA) and operational transition in preparation for July 2022 <br /> launch <br /> DHHS is working with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians to develop a PCCM "Tribal Option"to go <br /> live in Region 1 <br /> EMS MC's Role <br /> EMS MC will continue to monitor the implementation of the North Carolina Medicaid Reform and will <br /> provide ongoing updates to our EMS Providers. We will be happy to assist you in contract negotiation <br /> now that the MCOs have been selected. Our Payor Relations Team will be completing the provider <br /> enrollment process on your behalf and will be reaching out to you to obtain any necessary information. <br /> EMS I MC has held preliminary meetings with a few of the health plans in anticipation of this award.
