3 <br /> County Manager— Arts Commission <br /> 3. The Orange County Arts Commission has received $10,563 in donations from the Big Night <br /> In for the Arts event. These funds will be used to support local artists. This amendment <br /> provides for the receipt of these funds in the Visitors Bureau Fund, outside of the General <br /> Fund. (See Attachment 1, column #3) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Housing Community Development — Partnership to End Homelessness <br /> 4. Technical Amendment — The FY 2020-21 budget anticipated the receipt of the Housing <br /> and Urban Development (HUD) Continuity of Care grant, but provided authorization from <br /> October 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, budgeted at $109,888. This amendment will <br /> provide receipt of the full award of$130,000, which will fund the grant through October 31, <br /> 2021. These additional funds of $20,112 will run through the Community Development <br /> Fund, outside of the General Fund. (See Attachment 1, column #4) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 5. The Department on Aging has received $149,527 from Triangle J Council of Governments <br /> to provide additional on-site food and supplies as well as home delivered meals for the <br /> lunch program. Home delivered meals will be provided through a subcontract with Meals <br /> on Wheels Orange County. The grant will run from June 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. <br /> Any unused funds at June 30, 2021 will be encumbered for use in FY 2021-22 through <br /> September 30, 2021. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds for the above stated <br /> purposes.
