The study forms the basis of the Cpunty's roof replacement program. <br />Projects recommended for this fecal year include the following: <br />Animal Control BulMing <br />• 503 West FrenNin Street (Skills Devebpment Center) Sec[or 3 <br />Dickson House <br />In atltlition [o these projects, CTL has recomrnendetl that the Count' replace the metal roof on <br />the 129 East King Street building purchased last year and ronovatetl for Purchasing and <br />Centrel Services Department offices. Initial essessmerds indirafed that repeim could solve the <br />roof leaks at the acllhy. Howeveq CTL hea indicated that fie manner in which the roof was <br />installed will create atltlitional leaks and create ongoing maintenance issues. Because of the <br />approach to energy emciency and energy management that the building design follows. it is <br />critlralto ensure that the refter lnaulation remains dry. Funding le availablem etltl this project <br />l0 the 2001-2002 echetluh, so it appears pmdenl t0 complete the work so renovations will In no <br />way be jeopartl¢ed and the energy management strategies may be eHec[ed perthe design. <br />CTL has previously completed roof tlesign work for the County with successful results. Further, <br />much of the baseline information needed for the design process is contained in CTL's database <br />created duriig the roof study. This fee is <br />consistent with expected has hrprolects of this type.
