Kester <br /> & Rose, LLC; of Fuquay-Varina, NC, the determined low bidder for the construction <br /> of Blackwood Farm Park Phase II Project; and <br /> 2) Authorize the County Manager to execute the Agreement, subject to final review by the <br /> County Attorney, and any subsequent amendments for contingent and unforeseen <br /> requirements up to the approved budget amount on behalf of the Board <br /> BACKGROUND: In 2019, the Board approved a contract with the consulting firm of Susan <br /> Hatchell Landscape Architecture, PLLC for the development of construction drawings, bid <br /> documents to provide for bid solicitation and a construction bid award for Phase II of Blackwood <br /> Farm Park. <br /> In April 2021, Orange County published an Advertisement for Bids, and on May 26, 2021, the <br /> County received five (5) sealed bids from General Contractors. Staff is currently negotiating costs <br /> and other details with the determined low bidder to develop a final contract. <br /> The project schedule is as follows: <br /> Task Duration/Date <br /> Contract Approval Summer 2021 <br /> Construction Summer 2021-Summer 2022 <br /> Completion and Availability of the Park Summer 2022 <br />
