(All other staff members will be identified <br /> 17 appropriately below) <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Chair Price called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 A roll call was called; all members were present, except for Commissioner Dorosin and <br /> 22 Commissioner McKee. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Due to current public health concerns, the Board of Commissioners is conducting a Virtual <br /> 25 Budget Public Hearing and Work Session on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Members of the Board of <br /> 26 Commissioners participated in the meeting remotely. As in prior meetings, members of the <br /> 27 public were able to view and listen to the meeting via live streaming video at <br /> 28 http://www.orangecountync.gov/967/Meeting-Videos and on Orange County Gov-TV on <br /> 29 channels 1301 or 97.6 (Spectrum Cable). <br /> 30 <br /> 31 In this new virtual process, there are two methods for public comment. <br /> 32 • Written submittals by email <br /> 33 • Speaking during the virtual meeting <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Detailed public comment instructions for each method are provided at the bottom of this <br /> 36 agenda. (Pre-registration is required.) <br /> 37 <br /> 38 1. Opening Remarks <br /> 39 Chair Price welcomed everyone. She suggested tabling item 15 to June 3, 2021, since <br /> 40 Commissioner Dorosin was absent. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 A motion was made by Chair Price, seconded by Commissioner Fowler, to table item 15 <br /> 43 on affordable housing options until June 3, 2021. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Roll call ensued <br /> 46 <br /> 47 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Chair Price dispensed with the reading of the public charge. <br /> 50 <br />
