It will allow for the <br /> residents who are most affected by the revaluation to have more time to appeal their value and to <br /> request needed assistance to complete their appeal. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1) consider the impacts of extending the formal appeals period by extending the Board of <br /> Equalization and Review's adjournment date; <br /> 2) make a decision on the matter; and <br /> 3) if appropriate, approve and authorize the Chair to sign the proposed resolution to extend <br /> the formal appeals period and direct the Tax Office to advertise the Board of Equalization <br /> and Review's new adjournment date in the newspaper(s) where the original advertisement <br /> for the Board of Equalization and Review schedule was placed. <br />
