7 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Library Services <br /> 7. The Library Services Department has received $2,000 in one time Library State Aid funds <br /> to purchase COVID-19 related department supplies. This budget amendment provides for <br /> the receipt and use of these funds for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, <br /> column #5) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> Miscellaneous <br /> 8. The FY 2020-21 Board of Commissioners' Approved Budget included funds of $650,000 <br /> to continue the County match of employees' 401k contributions of up to $63.00 per pay <br /> period for all general (non-sworn law enforcement officer) employees. This budget <br /> amendment provides for the allocation of $650,000 within departments to cover these <br /> expenditures. (See Attachment 1, column #6) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There are no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts associated with these items. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY 2020-21, and increases <br /> the General Fund by $264,902; increases Non-Major Funds by a total of $25,737,154; and <br /> increases the Emergency Recovery Fund by $14,419,861. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the budget and capital <br /> project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2020-21. <br />
