The <br />Board of Commissioners must give notice of intention for atllustment no later than 14 tlays <br />bafom[he last day for filing notice of candidacy for the office. That date is January ], 2002. <br />Attached is a tlraft resolution with the proposetl notice of atljushnent in salary for the above <br />elected officials. Following [he election and after the aumessful cantlidate takes oPoCe, the <br />Commissioners retain the right to atljust the minimum starting salary upwaN in accordance <br />with fie years of reletatl experience held by the suwcssful cantlidate <br />The proposed starting salary for the Sheriffs position is Step 1 of Salary Gratle 80 of the <br />Orange County ClssaRrstion antl Pay Plan. The current Step 1 salary is $57,938. <br />The proposetl starting salary Por the Register of Deeds' poshion is Step 1 of Salary Grzde ]8 <br />of the Orange Gounry Classification end Pay Plan.
