Article 6: Development Standards 257 <br /> Section 6.4: Performance Standards <br /> (a hat hazardous wastes are being sent to an appro azardous waste <br /> recyc' torage, treatment or disposal <br /> (b) That an EPAID num n obtained, <br /> (c) That only a . ed transporters are and <br /> (d) a on-site storage is limited to 180 days (or up to s if the waste <br /> is to be transported more than 200 miles). <br /> 6.4.8 Utilities <br /> (A) Economic Development Districts <br /> (1) Each permitted use, special use, and accessory use to be served by a public or <br /> private water or sewer system must be: <br /> (a) Designed, sized, and constructed to the standards of the utility provider; <br /> and <br /> (b) Assured of installation of such services at the time it is approved. <br /> (2) Each MPD-SZ-CD Master Plan and site plan or NR-CD site plan must be <br /> accompanied by documentation from the utility provider that it has reviewed and <br /> approved: <br /> (a) Preliminary plans for the proposed water and/or sewer lines; <br /> (b) The adequacy of the existing system(s)to which the connectio s)will <br /> be made; <br /> (c) he capacity of the existing water and sewer treatme acilities; <br /> (d) The rying capacity of the discharge stream or ischarge point; and <br /> (e) The metho f funding proposed extensio of water and sewer lines. <br /> (3) The approval by the utilit rovider must in th orm of a resolution or other <br /> agreement adopted by its bo of direct or governing board and must also <br /> contain a certification that servic o development project is authorized by <br /> any water management plan and rge permit in effect at the time of <br /> approval. <br /> (4) Installation <br /> (a) The locatio nd size of easements for water d/or sewer lines must be <br /> approv y and dedicated in the form of a dee easement to the <br /> utili rovider. <br /> (b) here cuts in existing streets are made for water and/or se r work, all <br /> cutting, backfilling, and paving shall be done in accordance wit C. <br /> Department of Transportation and/or municipal specifications and <br /> procedures. <br /> (5) Water Use Limitations <br /> Because of the size or remaining excess capacity of treatment plants for some <br /> utility providers, uses which require large quantities of water for manufacturing <br /> and/or processing operations will require the review and approval of the Board of <br /> County Commissioners as a Use Distr;^+^r r'Conditional -District in <br /> accordance with the following: <br /> (a) Applicants for approval of a comprehensive site development plan must <br /> submit documented data for the proposed use or a comparable facility <br /> which justifies the projected water consumption rates. <br /> Orange County, North Carolina—Unified Development Ordinance Page 6-15 <br />
