Article 5: Uses 197 <br /> Section 5.10: Standards for Telecommunication Facilities <br /> All applications for telecommunication facilities that are eligible for administrative <br /> approval shall be submitted and reviewed in accordance with the standards of Section <br /> 5.10.8 of this Ordinance. <br /> (C) Neighborhood Information Meeting <br /> (1) For all administratively approved wireless support structures, excluding <br /> collocations, a neighborhood information meeting shall be scheduled in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Section 5.10.8(&M. <br /> 5.10.7 Antennas Not Located on Wireless Telecommunications Support Structures <br /> (A) General Standards <br /> (1) To minimize adverse visual impacts, stealth antenna types shall be prefer r d. If <br /> a non-stealth antenna is proposed, the application shall be required to <br /> demonstrate, in a technical manner acceptable to the Planning Direct , why the <br /> stealth antenna (i.e. an antenna incorporated into the architecture of e building <br /> or fully screened from view from sight proximate to the antenna) c not be used <br /> for the particular application. This does not preclude a combina ' n of the <br /> various types of antennas. <br /> (2) Antenna dimensions shall be subject to approval by the PI ning Director. A <br /> atement shall be submitted, prepared by a professional ngineer competent to <br /> ev uate antenna choices, to certify the technical need or the required <br /> dime sions. <br /> (3) Prior to a issuance of a Building Permit by the I pections Division, the <br /> applicatio hall provide evidence that the wirel s telecommunication support <br /> structure or tennas are in compliance with F regulations. Where an <br /> antenna will no exceed the highest point of a existing structure upon which it is <br /> to be mounted, s In evidence shall not b required. <br /> (B) Standards of Evaluatio for Stealth Roo op or Building, Water Tower, or <br /> Transmission Line Moun d Antenna <br /> In addition to the standards establ hed in ubsection A above, the following are <br /> applicable to all Stealth Rooftop or it i g, Water Tower, or Transmission Line Mounted <br /> Antennas: <br /> (1) Antennas shall not exceed 0 fee bove the roofline of the building or support <br /> structure, water tank, or ansmissio line; <br /> (2) Commercial advertisi g shall not be all ed on an antenna; <br /> (3) Signals, lights, or i mination shall not be p rmitted on an antenna, unless <br /> required by the C or the FAA; <br /> (4) Any related u staffed equipment building shall n contain more than 600 square <br /> feet of gros floor area per user or exceed 12 feet i height; <br /> (5) Docume tation shall be required denoting that the ere ion of an antenna will not <br /> comp r mise the structural integrity of the building, water nk, or transmission <br /> line; <br /> (6) If n antenna is erected on a transmission line, documentation hall be required <br /> utlining that the antenna will not interfere, or be interfered with, the normal <br /> operating characteristics of the transmission line; <br /> (7 If the equipment building is located on the roof of the building, the are f the <br /> equipment building shall not occupy more than 25% of the roof area, an hall <br /> comply with all State of North Carolina Building Code requirements for the <br /> proposed and existing building; and <br /> Orange County, North Carolina—Unified Development Ordinance Page 5-79 <br />
