There are no changes on this page - it is 194 <br /> included to give context to the deletion on Article 5: Uses <br /> Section 5.9: Standards for Utilities <br /> the following page. <br /> (b) Plans and elevations for all proposed structures and arrays as well <br /> descriptions of the color and nature of all exterior materials. <br /> (c) Landscape Plan, at the same scale as the site plan, showing ex' ting <br /> and proposed trees, shrubs, ground cover and other landscap material <br /> (d) A soils report denoting the types of soil on the property incl ing detail <br /> on the compaction necessary to support the proposed de lopment. <br /> (2) Standards of Evaluation <br /> All on-site utility and transmission lines shall, to the a tent feasible, be <br /> placed underground. <br /> (b) The height of proposed arrays and support struc res shall not exceed <br /> 40 feet. <br /> (c) I ividual arrays/solar panels shall be desig ed and located in order to <br /> pr ent reflective glare toward any inhabit buildings on adjacent <br /> prop rties as well as adjacent street righ -of-way. <br /> (d) A clear visible warning sign concerni g voltage must be placed at the <br /> base of a pad-mounted transformer and substations. <br /> (e) All mechani al equipment of princ' al solar energy systems including any <br /> structure for tteries or storage ells, shall be completely enclosed by a <br /> minimum eight )foot high fe e with a self-locking gate, and provided <br /> with screening in ccordance ith the provisions of Section 6.8. <br /> (f) The applicant shall bmit roof of liability insurance covering bodily <br /> injury and property d e demonstrating a minimum coverage limit of$ <br /> 500,000.00 per occurre ce. <br /> (g) A Type D Land Use uffe shall be provided along any portion of the <br /> perimeter of the pa el, eas ment, or leasehold area located adjacent to <br /> property zoned, otherwise tilized for, residential use except where <br /> such property i owned, lease r consists of other utility easements <br /> currently use or electrical distri tion or transmission purposes. <br /> Existing ve etation may be used to atisfy the landscaping requirements. <br /> (3) Decommissioni g <br /> The applicant grees to the following as condition in case the utility is to be <br /> abandoned: <br /> (a) T owner/operator of the facility is required t notify the Orange County <br /> anning Director in writing 60 days prior to pla ed the cessation or <br /> abandonment of the facility for any reason. This otice shall provide the <br /> exact date when the use of the facility will cease. <br /> (b Documentation shall be provided indicating that the p lic utility <br /> purchasing the power has been made aware of the dec ion. <br /> (c) The facility shall be removed within 12 months from the d e the <br /> applicant ceases use of the facility. <br /> (d) Once the infrastructure is removed the property, the owner sh obtain <br /> the necessary Erosion Control permits to re-stabilize the propert The <br /> time frame for completion shall be determined by the Orange Cou y <br /> Erosion Control Officer. <br /> (e) The owner shall provide financial security in form and amount accepta e <br /> to the County to secure the expense of dismantling and removing said <br /> structures. <br /> Orange County, North Carolina—Unified Development Ordinance Page 5-75 <br />
