Article 5: Uses 177 <br /> Section 5.7: Standards for Recreational Uses <br /> around the perimeter of the property. <br /> (d) Nothing in Section 5.7.2 (B) shall be construed as regulatin unting <br /> activities or the operation of a shooting range developed r, and <br /> exclusively utilized by, local, State, and/or Federal law nforcement <br /> agencies. <br /> (e) Nothing in Section 5.7.2 (B) shall be construed regulating or <br /> ohibiting: <br /> (i) Hunting activities or the operation f a shooting range developed <br /> or, and exclusively utilized by, cal, State, and/or Federal law <br /> e orcement agencies. <br /> (ii) The h ding of turkey sho s or other similar activities conducted <br /> as a fun is or corn unity event so long as such activities <br /> occur no m e than ree days in a given calendar year on a <br /> parcel of prop ty <br /> (iii) The incidenta is rge of a firearm, the discharge of a firearm <br /> in self-defe e, or en ging in target shooting activities on a <br /> parcel of roperty no mo than 2 days in a given month. <br /> (2) Outdoor Paintball <br /> (a) Areas wh e outdoor paintball activities o cur shall be a minimum of 50 <br /> feet fro all property lines, street rights-of- , or access easements. <br /> (b) A T pe B land use buffer, as detailed in Section 8, shall be required <br /> ound the perimeter of the portion of property whe outdoor paintball <br /> activity occurs. <br /> (3) Pi and Putt Courses <br /> a) Pitch and putt areas shall be located a minimum of 40 feet fro all <br /> property lines, street rights-of-way, or access easements. <br /> (b) A Type B land use buffer, as detailed in Section 6.8, shall be require <br /> around the perimeter of the portion of property where pitch and putt <br /> course activity occurs. <br /> (C) Submittal Requirements and Standards of Evaluation for Class B Special Use <br /> Permit <br /> (1) Submittal Requirements <br /> In addition to the information required by Section 2.7, the following infor ion <br /> shall be supplied as part of the application for approval of this use: <br /> (a) A description of the exact type facility planned, the ount of area, <br /> including and number of members or participa expected, a site plan <br /> owing siting and size of existing and pro sed building. <br /> (b) Access, rking, service and recre ' n areas for all planned facilities or <br /> existing faci i <br /> (c) Plans, and elevation proposed and existing structures and <br /> descriptions of the or an ture of all exterior materials. <br /> (d) A landscap an showing, at the sa scale as the site plan, existing <br /> and pro sed trees, shrubs, ground cover any other landscape <br /> m ials. <br /> (e) A signed statement from the owners or operators that the all be no <br /> activity allowed that will have adverse effects on adjacent prope The <br /> statement shall also include a complete list of all recreational activities <br /> that will take place on the site. <br /> Orange County, North Carolina-Unified Development Ordinance Page 5-45 <br />
