DEFINITIONS <br /> 1.1 Agreement - The Construction Contract, these General Conditions, and any Supplementary <br /> Conditions. <br /> 1.2 AIA- The American Institute of Architects. <br /> 1.3 ASTM - The American Society for Testing and Materials. <br /> 1.4 Beneficial Occupancy— Use of the Project by the Owner after Substantial Completion, but <br /> prior to Final Completion.. <br /> 1.5 Change Order-A written order to the Contractor signed by the Owner and the Designer <br /> authorizing an addition, deletion, or revision in the Work or an adjustment in the Contract Price <br /> or the Contract Time issued after execution of the Construction Contract. See paragraph 14.1. <br /> 1.6 Completion Date -Those dates identified as Completion Dates in the Contract Construction <br /> Schedule or elsewhere in the Contract Documents. <br /> 1.7 Construction Contract—The document executed by the Contractor and the Owner to <br /> formally memorialize their consent to the terms of the Agreement. <br /> 1.8 Construction Change Directive —A written order to the Contractor signed by the Owner and <br /> the Designer directing an addition, deletion, or revision in the Work after execution of the <br /> Construction Contract, in circumstances when the parties have been unable to agree on an <br /> adjustment to the Contract Price or the Contract Time, but the Owner requests that the <br /> Contractor proceed with said addition, deletion, or revision in the Work subject to adjustment of <br /> the Contract Price or Contract Time under the procedures described herein. <br /> 1.9 Construction Manager(s) - The person(s) or firm designated as the Construction Manager in <br /> the Contract Documents, or their authorized representatives. The Construction Manager(s), as <br /> referred to herein, will be referred to hereinafter as if each were of the singular number and <br /> masculine gender. <br /> 1.10 Contract Construction Schedule -That schedule described in Article 13 hereof and <br /> identified as the Contract Construction Schedule. <br /> 1.11 Contract Documents -All of the documents that make up the Agreement, plus the <br /> Drawings and Specifications that describe the scope of the Work, plus allowable Modifications <br /> to the Contract Documents. <br /> 1.12 Contract Price - The total monies payable to the Contractor under the Contract Documents <br /> pursuant to paragraph 15.1 of the Agreement. <br /> 1.13 Contract Time -The number of calendar days stated in, or computed from, the Contract <br /> Documents for the completion of the Work, or any portion thereof.
