26
is not trying to get this eliminated, but just wants to make sure the plan is developing in a way
that will give the return on investment the board wants.
Bonnie Hammersley said the board can be talked about this on April 20, 2021 and staff
will bring a better map when the board discusses the Buckhorn Area Plan.
Commissioner McKee reiterated his request for Mylar overlays in sequence, beginning
with the original EDD.
Bonnie Hammersley said staff can do that.
Commissioner Dorosin said the plan is old, but has not been implemented until very
recently. He said the board talked about it for a long time, and once the infrastructure was in
place Morinaga, Medline, and other places came. He said he wants to take the time to discuss
it but wants to prevent unnecessary delay because the county is behind the curve on this and
on its economic development plan. He said this needs to be moved forward as effectively as it
can.
Chair Price said she wanted to do it effectively and efficiently, but could remember when
people would say it was perfect for a golf course. She said some projects have been missed
because of the lack of infrastructure.
Commissioner Dorosin said Economic Development Director Steve Brantley talks
frequently about projects going to places where the infrastructure is in place, including roads.
Chair Price recalled there was a lot of push back, even twelve years, ago about
development in this area.
Travis Myren resumed the PowerPoint presentation:
FY2021-22 Recommended Water&Sewer
Infrastructure Projects
Economic Development Water&Sewer Infrastructure-
$1,235,000(p.84)
-Extend sewer service under interstate to 200 acre site with rail
access and upgrades lift station to high capacity force main
-Area Ain BuckhomArea Plan
❑3 t
n4
os
❑2
ORANGE COUMY
FY2021-22 Recommended Water&Sewer
Infrastructure Projects
Economic Development Water&Sewer Infrastructure-
$115,000(P.85)
- Design and easement acquisition for potential future investment
area
- Recommendremovalydelay based onOuckhom Area Plan
discussions
.ter-
ORANNGE OOUMY
