Ordinance Na. <br />The following consensus was introduced by Commissioner , and <br />duly seconded by Commissioner <br />ANORDINANCEANNEXING <br />NON- CONTIGUOUSPROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, a petition waa received requesting the amexation of the noncontiguous <br />area totaling 2822 acres in two tracts described in Section 2 below; and <br />wfff: dS, a public bearing On the question of the annexation was held on Tuesday, <br />July 24, 2001 following notice of such public hearing published in the News of Orange on July <br />I l end 18, 2001 <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE ROARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE TOWN OF <br />HILLSBOROUGH ORDAINS: <br />Section 1. The Hoard efCommissiora m Ends that <br />a. The area described in Section 2 mats all of the standards eel forth in G.S. IMA- <br />58.1(b). More specifically: <br />1. The nearest point on the proposed satellite corporate limits is less then three miles <br />from the primary wtpmate limits ofthe Town; <br />2. No point in the proposed satellite arm is closer W the limits of my other city Lou <br />to the primary, corporate lintits of the Town; <br />3. The area described in Section 2 is situated such tat the Town will be able to <br />provide the sam e services with this area that it provides within its primary <br />cotpomte Ionics; <br />4. The area proposed for amexatim is not a subdivision; <br />S.
