a; <br />proposed Orange Grave Road Development <br />Traffic Impact Study <br />1.0 Executive Summary <br />The proposed Orange Grove Road apartment complex is located on the <br />northwest side of Orange Grove Rind, between Interstate 40 and Interstate 85 in <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina. Full build -out of the project is to cmwist of 240 <br />apartment units. As currently envisioned, the development will be completed <br />(bullbaut) in Ayer <br />The analyses for the study area iumrsectlons were performed for existing traffic <br />conditions, 2006 ne-build conditions, and 2006 buLLd -out conditions. <br />The unsigrtansed imersection of Orange Grove Road /Oakdale Drive currently <br />operates at a level -of- service (LOS) A in the AM and I'M peak hours. With <br />predicted growth, the intersection will continue to operate at a LOS A during the <br />AM and pM peak hunts in 2006. With the site traffic in 2006, the intersection <br />will operate at a LOS B during the AM peak hour and a LOS A during the pM <br />peak hour with no roadway improvements. <br />The signalized imersection of Qlunnn Street /Oakdale Drive curren0y operates <br />at a LOS B during the AM peak hour and a LOS A during the FM peak hour. <br />With predicted growth, this intersection will operate at a LOS C in the AM peak <br />hour and a LOS A during the VM peak hour in 2006. With the addition of the <br />site traffic in 2006, the intersection will continue to operate at a LOS C in the AM <br />peak hour and a LOS A during the FM peak hour with no roadway <br />impeo ements. <br />The site entrance on Orange Grove Road will operate at a LOS A during the AM <br />and I'M peak hours in 2006. The developer should construct a northbound left <br />assn lane into the site on Orange Grove Road ro enhance safety in this area. <br />
