)5
Watergiewer Fund Operations: Ca "ene ObObservations
The cost to provide water /sewer services to this project wand be uceptionelly low, especially
since only one (I) "mastxs'molar would need to be read each month. The additional treatment
costs at the two (2) plants would be negligible. Adding this project to the Towns watedsewer
system would clearly be a positive financial gain for the Water /Sewer Fund. In addition, to the
additional monthly /armad operating revenue generated, the Capital Facility Fees of 5184,600
would be quite helpful in paying for future expansions and assisting in paying a portion of the
existing debt capacity for the reservoir,
Clawing
Financially, annexing this project into the Town of Hillsborough appears to be a good decision in
that It would be 1) a clear short -term help in the General Fund (without any major long -term
problems projected), and 2) a big boost in the Water /Sewer Fond in the short and long -term.
Once again, these comments and analysis only address the financial impacts of this projad and
do not attempt to fanoT odan important issues like traffq quality of life, etc.
